All
the living creatures are equal to each other having been created
by Nature. We, human beings, may have simply developed more
brain functions than others and developed our physical and
mental capabilities. We, having been doing what others cannot
do having adapted to the environment, started to walk on two
feet and to learn using tools. Through a significant development
called "culture", we have become capable of minimizing
time, filing memories, and making analysis in a second using
a tool called "technology".
Why has Nature created us? What kind of role do we have
in, what we call, our "ecosystem"? Everything has
a meaning and even our existence is not accidental but inevitable
with a certain roll we need to perform being what we are.
However, it is creating scares on the earth and changing its
shapes that we have been doing in our ecosystem in order for
us to have convenient distribution, transportation, etc. to
control what exists in other areas to be where we exist.
What has Nature been trying to tell us? Evolution, improvement,
discovery, progress, invention, civilization, citizens revolution,
industrial revolution, technological revolution, land development,
governmental reform, etc. Now we see pollution without solution.
We co-existed with Nature before and respected others. Our
wisdom has been frequently used wrongfully to destroy our
environment.
Nature always balance herself and correct any unbalance
in her way. Even what invasions based on greed create and
pollution caused by mining and chemical processes for "convenient"
products for human lives, give influences to those who live
in the areas.
Nature always tries to balance herself by moving something
to where a balanced condition has been destroyed. Losing trees
in the high mountains will bring more water and soil to the
down streams. Preventing full water flow may bring less soil
to the coast line, that allow ocean to erode into the sea
shore taking earth to the bottom of the sea.
It is hard to live in Nature, however, it is easy to do
that as well. We need to re-acknowledge what our lives should
be by appreciating the minimum supply could do to us and by
understanding that we should not seek for what we can live
without. When we seek for what we need to just to enjoy our
lives living with Nature, we will not destroy any others living
creatures to their ends.
